Hello Beautiful Souls,

Today, I want to share some ways I've found to manage stress and anxiety. While not all methods work for everyone, I’ve discovered a few approaches that have helped me gain better control naturally, without medication. These have worked well for me, and that’s why I’m excited to share them with you.

So, to calm myself, the first thing that I started to incorporate into my daily regime was Magnesium. Magnesium has been known to relax nerves, reduce stress-related disorders like anxiety. Taking Magnesium has become a routine practice I do, by either taking tablets which relaxes me and or gel application on my skin, like the soles of my feet which is amazing for relaxation.

I am quite attached to having a cup of coffee first thing in the morning, but I had to change this habit because I noticed that having a coffee late in the evening was the reason behind owl-ish habits at night and irritated feeling and high strung during the day. Now I 'try' to make sure there isn’t a next cup after 3 pm. This small change has shown me to leave my evenings very relaxed without the struggle of fighting stress and after that I just fall asleep without any trouble.

The next supplement I added to my routine was Rhodiola. As an adaptogen, it helps my body in adapting to any changes brought about by stress. It’s been helpful for me as it acts as a buffer from being overwhelmed with the day to day stressors. I also take Ashwagandha supplements when I'm going through a stressful time or week, but limit my use of this herb to maximum a week.

Next thing is - Hydration. I think when stressed, I get dehydrated. So just to make sure I don't forget to hydrate myself, i put alarm reminders from the moment i wake up to drink 8 - 10 cups of water, spaced out through out the day. This is an idea that sounds minor, but I think makes an immense change in your life.

This may sound extreme, but, I’ve gotten used to cold plunge showers in the morning. For three days now, I took a five-minute freezing plunge shower and it was like my system was reprogrammed. What I've read somewhere is that the shock induced by cold water helps in sending blood to different parts of the body as well as increasing the levels of endorphins in the body, which are mood boosters. After I've added this routine into my lifestyle, I don't have the craving of coffee and sweet foods and also no headaches when I do not drink coffee. For me, this was a win! Gone are the days where I was in a grumpy mood if I hadn't had coffee nor do i get the craving for sweets when I'm overwhelmed. In addition, I feel lighter and less tired during the day and even more energized.

Finally, I've been working on remembering to breath. You are probably thinking, what? who forgets to breath we do it unconsciously! But i think there is a difference when you do it consciously and unconsciously. Taking a moment to breathe large and deep breaths and take it out, you can feel the rush of fresh cool oxygen into your brain. It literally takes a few minutes a day just to focus on my breathing, but it has, like, changed my whole world. This is an excellent way to get centered and just have a moment to remember and take a few breaths to release the stress. Since I used to feel so stressed out all the time, whenever feeling stressed, I take slow, deep breaths and try to only concentrate on my breathing.

Managing stress and anxiety doesn’t have to be complicated or require medication. But by making these simple and natural changes to my routine, I’ve been able to significantly reduce my stress levels and improve my overall well-being. If you’re looking for ways to manage stress and anxiety naturally, I encourage you to try some of these methods. Remember, it’s all about finding what works best for you and making small, sustainable changes that support your mental health.

Love
